 she is beautiful and smells like sweet tea
only one blossom today
but there are dozens ready to bloom 
in just a few weeks 
 she decided to blossom early
she knows today was her day

  6. Evelyn is so lovely. I have one planted in my garden too, but no blooms yet. I do have a Mary Rose that is covered in blooms today. I love going out in the garden to see who has made an appearance! My Lady Banks is covered in lovely blooms, alas they bloom only once.

    It's a rose right? Did you buy them locally or on line? I'd love to grow one!

    1. Hi Jeanette, well do want to know something funny? When you order David Austin's via the internet they ship them out from...of all places TEXAS! Not kidding. I don't recall the exact location but I do remember the Texas part. I think they would grow very well in your Texas climate too. Maybe in partial shade?!

  11. LOVE the new blog design! and what a "looker" Evelyn is!! very jealous as we are desperate for warmer weather here in the Boston area, but at least the Crocus are blooming and the Forsythia shouldn't be much longer!
