Hello
Yellow
Springs favorite color
The daffodils are popping up...a bit soggy from all of the rain
I gathered up all of the lemons that were on our
old lemon tree.
It fell over in the last storm.
We did manage to save him...but he's a little banged up
I saved as many lemons as made sense....well this really makes no sense,
but they actually store fairly well.
I love to use parsley to fill in little bouquets...I have tons of parsley too
This little bouquet is easy to do without a garden!
Buy a small bunch of parsley from the grocery store
and a little package of daffy's
Have a happy
yellow
weekend

Beautiful!! We've had three days of sun but it literally just disappeared in a wash of rain...like two seconds ago...seeing your post kept that sunny feeling alive...thank you!!
ReplyDeletexo J~
Just for a second there I could smell the lemons. Visual treat. Thank you.

I love your charming vignette. It's giving my hope that spring might actually be on its way!!
ReplyDeleteLooking at those lemons is making my mouth feel all tart... I hear Trader Joes sells bunches of Daffies for under $2 bucks! I'm scouting that out tomorrow!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty combo! I love your green bottles. I have been searching for those at the flea markets here but so far they have been very overprices, so I'll keep looking. :) What a great idea to put parsley with the flowers...I have done rosemary with red roses at Christmas, but the parsley is perfect for Spring!

ReplyDeleteParsley with daffodils? I LOVE THE COMBO. As I was reading the post I was wondering what you had in that wonderful galvanized container with those flowers. Your creativity always amazes me. Have a great weekend, Lori
ReplyDeleteMy mother always said, If life tips your lemon tree, make lemonade, baby. She didn't really say that but I think it's phrase that will catch on...like your poetry!
ReplyDeleteLemons and daffy's are a happy combination and I'm always a sucker for gratuitous shots of seltzer bottles!
I've never thought to use parsley to fill the empty spot of a bouquet...but I love that idea.
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet spot of spring! We had snow on Wed and Thurs last week. My poor daffodils are shivering.
ReplyDeleteDeborah
So pretty! I'm glad to hear you were able to save the tree. Can't wait til the snow's gone, and our flowers start blooming. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteLemons...parsley...daffodills. Summer is around the corner, eh?!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelley!
ReplyDeleteParsley and lemonades - genius! I love it! The one thing I'm actually getting good at growing is lemons. I have a little bowl by the front door (makes sense right??) HA! I love your basket full. I think I need to make a trip to TJ's and grab some daffodils.
