 I planted these from seed,
and as you can see they grew!
We had a hard rain a few days ago and my little peas got a bit beaten up....
so now I will make lots of bouquets!

I love you

  3. Sweat peas have the most glorious smell, and they're so charming. You have quite a green thumb. BTW, I'm in Newport Beach too!

  4. I love sweet peas, they are one of my favorite flowers. I also planted some from seed, but they aren't nearly as big as yours and haven't bloomed yet. I can't wait though, I love their wonderful scent!

  5. Oh I love Sweet Peas! I had never thought of growing them, but now I really would like to. And I still want those lovely roses you posted a week or so ago, although some nocturnal animal has been eating my roses lately! Any idea what it could be?

  6. I had sweet peas in my wedding bouquet; they were divine. It's the only time in my life I've ever had them in hand...I think they are a bit too precious, otherwise, for the extreme heat of Florida..

  8. I absolutely love sweet peas. They are "my" flower, being born in April. I love their scent, their look, their ability to cling on to things as they grow. Your mild climate seems to really benefit the sweet peas. I have some in a pot that I moved with me to the new house and hopefully, next year, will be able to get bunches of them in the ground to bloom in the springtime. It gets hot here quick and then they fade so fast. Lovely pictures you have posted too. I especially love the one of the peeling paint on the back of the chair. The shadow-play in that one is incredible!
