Bye Bye Butterfly

With spring winding down and summer right around the corner
the Butterfly Bush (Buddleia Davidii)starts to bloom
Buddelia is easy to grown in most regions, attracts butterflies (hence the name) and birds
and is a wonderful cutting plant for arrangements

the blooms are tall and spiky and lightly scented

if you see them in your local nursery...plant one
I know you will love it

see ya later, alligator
bye bye butterfly

  1. I love butterfly bushes! No blooms here quite yet.Just saw a yellow one at the nursery. May have to find a spot for it in the garden!
Never thought of bringing some indoors!

  2. My friend has a beautiful butterfly bush in her garden and she gave me some clippings last year to try to have one for my own garden. She had heard that if you just stick a branch in the ground and keep watering it it would take root. I tried it to no avail. I'm going to keep my out for one at our local nursery. They are so pretty and the fact that they attract butterflies makes them even more wonderful!! Have a beautiful day and, by the way, your house is adorable!!!! : )

  3. Kelly..the flowers are beautiful...but I always love seeing your home and how creative you are. I still have not finished my home...Wish I had two months to just focus on getting it done and an endless budget!

  5. Love seeing other glimpses of your house!

I would love to know if you are liking your glass fridge still? Do you find it too noisy? It has been on my wish list!
