Arranging Roses

14 comments:
 after I cut
 I love to arrange
I am always tempted to buy new things
for my arrangements
but nothing says "country" like a blue firkin
or an old bucket, right?

I love to do these outside because
there is easy clean up
and lot's of space for working

my preference for arrangements is usually a bit messy looking
and I love to use lots's of the same thing
my big decision on Sunday was
where to put these...hmmmm?

bedroom?
kitchen?

 I don't have many rooms
so the choice gets narrowed down really quickly
; 0 )

they ended up on a little table
in the living room

fires in the fireplace are done
so
now we have flowers to enjoy

thank you for stopping by!

love that you do.....

lots of new things in the shop by the end of the week!

  1. That little bucket is perfect for your roses. It reminds me of one that my grandmother had when I was a little girl.

  3. I'm starting to get a little nervous, my David Austins haven't bloomed yet. They are growing like crazy but no flowers. I hope I have beautiful bouquets like what you have pictured here this summer.

  4. Gorgeous, Kelley! I'm so jealous that you have flowers to cut already!! We just saw the last of our tulips, and as much as I wanted to cut them, I have so few I left them in the yard! After I get back from Brimfield it's time to add the annuals to the garden! That'll give me some color - but nothing compares to your David Austin's. The arrangement is beautiful, and it looks great in your living room!

  5. Your gardening "harvests" are gorgeous. What I would give for the weather you all get! I love the flowers in your living room, but of course, they would be beautiul anywhere.
    a feast for the eyes!

  6. Your cabbage roses are fabulous. How fortunate you are to be able to make a gorgeous bouquet from your own garden. I'll bet they smell wonderful too. So charming, as well, in the bucket.

  11. Gorgeous flowers...I just picked a bunch of pinky orange roses from my front "yard" (more like a border)...it's kind of therapeutic to arrange them, don't you think?
